GitHub Actions runners at a flat monthly price

Pay one price per runner pool, from $25/mo, and run as many minutes of CI as you want. GitHub bills hosted runners by the minute. We don't.

TL;DR

  • →Flat rate: one monthly price per runner pool, from $25/mo
  • →Unlimited minutes: we never meter job minutes, so a busy month costs the same as a quiet one
  • →Concurrent runners: 16 to 128 concurrent 2 GB runners per pool, as small as 1 GB; resize anytime
  • →Free trial: 2 days on your first pool

Pricing

Flat monthly price per pool. Unlimited build minutes, no per-minute billing. A pool runs a set number of 2 GB runners at once. Runners go as small as 1 GB.

No minute caps. There is no included-minutes allowance to run out of and no overage.
Resize anytime. Move between pool sizes from the dashboard when you need more concurrent jobs.
2-day free trial. Your first pool starts with a free trial. A card is required to start; you are not charged during the trial.

Flat rate vs. GitHub's per-minute pricing

GitHub bills hosted runners per minute, past the minutes your plan includes. Here is one runner kept busy 8 hours a day for 30 days, at GitHub's Linux list price, next to the smallest OpenRelay pool that runs that size.

RunnerGitHub-hostedGitHub, 240 h/moOpenRelay, flat
2 CPU$0.006/min$86.40$25/mo (4 concurrent at 8 GB)
4 CPU$0.012/min$172.80$25/mo (2 concurrent at 16 GB)
8 CPU$0.022/min$316.80$25/mo (1 concurrent at 32 GB)

$25 buys about 69 hours of GitHub's 2-core runner. On OpenRelay it covers the whole month, however many hours you run. GitHub prices from GitHub's Actions runner pricing page (Linux x64).

What's included

Ubuntu 24.04

Built for near-parity with GitHub's hosted ubuntu-24.04 image, so existing workflows run unchanged.

Docker

Docker Engine, Buildx, and Compose pre-installed. Build and push images out of the box.

A fresh VM per job

Every job gets its own isolated VM, destroyed when the job finishes. Nothing leaks between runs.

GitHub App install

Install the OpenRelay app on your org. No personal access tokens and no runner registration to manage.

How it works

1

Connect GitHub

Install the OpenRelay app on your GitHub organization from the dashboard.

2

Pick a pool size

Choose 16, 32, 64, 128 concurrent 2 GB runners. Your first pool starts with a 2-day free trial.

3

Point your workflows at it

Set runs-on: [self-hosted, openrelay-4cpu] (or 2cpu / 8cpu) in any workflow.

4

Run as much CI as you want

Jobs start on OpenRelay VMs. The monthly price does not change with how many minutes you use.

Stop paying per minute for CI

Flat monthly price per pool. Unlimited build minutes, no per-minute billing. Pools start at $25/mo with a 2-day free trial.
